PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• Jesus shared about the Holy Spirit’s impact on believers in John 16:8, “And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.”
The Holy Spirit is not a Jiminy Cricket kind of guide, but He will take the conscious we’re all born with and guide it through the filter of Biblical truth.
He will enable us to recognize sin in ourselves, the goodness of God’s grace and mercy, and the reasons our Holy God’s judgment is right.
When a Christian allows him or herself to be convicted by the Holy Spirit, it is both a humbling and liberating experience.
The humility comes in when we recognize our personal sin and unworthiness, but the liberation comes in letting God’s forgiveness wash over us completely.
Today, as you pray, ask the Holy Spirit to convict your heart.
Ask Him to show you sins you may not even be aware of so you can confess and receive the flood of forgiveness that will make you clean.
