Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 2:4, “No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.”
From the moment we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are enlisted soldiers in the Army of the Lord!
Our focus should be to please the One who has called us to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
Today, as you pray, ask the Holy Spirit to help you focus on pleasing God alone and no one else.
From an eternal perspective, obeying Him and following His call is all that matters.
