My Grace-Full Life

10.21.22 Personalize the Word: Ephesians 4:32

Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

And be kind to ________, tenderhearted, forgiving ________, even as God in Christ forgave {me}.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your forgiveness. I don’t deserve it. And as You have forgiven me, I must forgive others. Please bring to mind the names of those who I need to show kindness and forgiveness. Help me to extend the same grace and mercy You have given me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Disclaimer:  This is not meant to re-write Scripture. The Bible is clear that we are not to add or takeaway from it. However, if you’re a new believer — you may struggle to figure out how these verses apply to you… or if you’re a seasoned believer, you may have grown numb to the words from familiarity.  This exercise isn’t meant to alter or change God’s Word or the context of the verse.  Instead, the goal is to remind us how personal His Word is. The Bible is God’s love letter to you and me. As one person put it, “The Bible is the only book, where the Author is in love with the reader.”
