PRAISE & PRAYER PROMPT ••• If you were thrown in prison for unjust reasons, what do you think your response would be?
When we read Acts 16:25, we know how Paul and Silas handled it…
“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them,…”
Their tremendous faith said — “this situation may be unfair from the outside, but we’re exactly where God has placed us in this moment.”
And one of the results of their faithfulness is found in the last part of the verse… “and the prisoners were listening to them,…”
In our less-than-ideal situations, we have to remember that others are watching.
We have an opportunity as Christians to praise God in the bad times as much as we do in the good!
And by praising Him in the bad, we capture the attention of those who need to be saved from their own chains of sin.
We can help them see that God is good in all circumstances.
Today, as you pray, praise God for His goodness and thank Him for where you are in this moment.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you sing, praise, and be joyful in every situation!
