PRAYER PROMPT ••• This is going to be short and sweet today because I think I may have the flu.
I’m headed to the doctor as soon as they open, but we’ve come this far with daily Prayer Prompts and I don’t want to miss one.
Today, let’s read Psalm 86:5-10 which says, “O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord; hear my urgent cry. I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble, and you will answer me. No pagan god is like you, O Lord. None can do what you do! All the nations you made will come and bow before you, Lord; they will praise your holy name. For you are great and perform wonderful deeds. You alone are God.”
As I grow in my faith, I appreciate David’s Psalms more and more.
He really knew how to worship God and give Him praise.
This is such a beautiful passage of why we should model David’s example.
He was far from perfect, but He modeled perfect trust.
Even when he was discouraged, and felt alone, He didn’t doubt God was in charge.
Today, as you pray, pray the words of David in this Psalm.
Make them your own and give God all the worship, praise, and credit He so richly deserves!
